In a statement to fans sent out on Thursday morning, co-founder singer John Linnell revealed that following a play at the Bowery Ballroom in New York on Wednesday night, on his way home, Flansburgh was engaged in a serious car accident.

As a result, Linnell stated the band would have to reschedule the rest of their June tour dates; the shows in Washington, DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and due to the outbreak, several other cities in New York had already been canceled twice. For the time being, he said, the goal is to return to the road for an August 30 gig in Asbury Park, New Jersey, followed by other East Coast and Midwest dates in September and October.
